#11178 closed enhancement (duplicate)

Notification on new created tickets only

Reported by: ellen.andersson@… Owned by: Steffen Hoffmann
Priority: high Component: AnnouncerPlugin
Severity: normal Keywords:
Cc: Trac Release:

Description

I would love to have the option to subscribe for certain events/changes for all tickets belonging to a particular type. Mainly the event "new ticket" is intresting for my usage, but to make it a general solution one should be able to opt in for a selection of changes, i.e close, accpet, assinged, etc.

As it is today, in order to get notifications on new tickets I will aslo receive notification for ALL changes made to all tickets of that ticket type, and that is not good at all when having a lot of tickets.

And still, it is of high value to receive an email when a new ticket has been created.

Thanks for your interest in this plugin.

However, in order to efficiently contribute to related development efforts you're required to use a bit more care before creating tickets, i.e. by looking at existing tickets first, maybe even resolved ones. We may assist in this a bit more in the future.

Regarding you interest you'll find that we already discussed this and related enhancements a lot in #10622.

Last nit-pick: Please read priority as development priority. If you're contributing real code and taking parts of plugin maintenance burdon, you're entitled to set it; otherwise leave it to those who do that, please.
